David Reece - Director, Consulting Services at Baker Richards

David Reece is responsible for developing the company’s consulting offers and managing the company’s consultancy projects. Since joining Baker Richards in 2009, he has gained extensive experience in handling a wide range of projects for performing arts venues, museums and visitor attractions, including National Theatre, Royal Academy of Arts and English Heritage. 

Through a combination of insightful data analysis, innovative primary research and strategic development, David works with organisations to optimise their earned income strategy, focusing primarily on ticket pricing and membership. Recently, David has developed an inventive application of conjoint analysis to establish price elasticity for cultural events and membership packages, allowing organisations to understand what different markets are willing-to-pay for the value of what they have to offer and consequently the optimal strategy designed to meet their overall objectives.

Andrew Thomas Principal Ynys Consulting Ltd

A lot of people often say Andrew does not have a proper job. He agrees with that, he says has about six of them. Therapist, lawyer, wrestling referee, nursery school teacher and wild west sheriff are just some of the ways he describes consulting and working with major sports and entertainment franchises around the world wrangling with technology and data to work smarter not harder.

His current client list includes Premier League football clubs, major festivals and some of the UK's most iconic arts venues. As well as leading Europe’s Ticketing Professionals organisation he sits as one of the International representatives on the board of INTIX.  


Ken Paul Business Development Director, SeatGeek

Ken is currently the Business Development Director for SeatGeek Entertainment, which is a ticketing, CRM and POS supplier to the theatre, music and sports markets.

Their customers range in size from venues such as the 300 seat Brunton Theatre in Edinburgh to the 120,000 seat venue in Dallas for the Dallas Cowboys. 

Some of their customers include English National Opera, LW Theatres, York Theatre Royal, Den Norske Opera and Ballet. 

The main part of Ken’s career was spent in Commercial Theatre at a senior level for Delfont Mackintosh, Nimax Theatres and Really Useful Theatres. 


Andy Sheppard Head of Marketing, The Mary Rose Museum

Andy joined the Mary Rose Trust in 2019, moving literally a mile up the road from the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth, where she helped to re-establish the venue, after a long period of closure for major building work. 

After starting with a career in Advertising and Print, Andy has worked extensively in Arts and Culture across the South of England in differing venues from large scale commercial theatre and various differing sizes of arts centres. Although this is her first role within the Museum sector, it appears that the aims and objectives are all the same.
