Reporting Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and inspiring new colleague to join our ambitious engineering team.

Yesplan is an intuitive venue management web application. We are the leading software system for small and large theaters, concert halls and event venues in the Benelux and expanding in Europe, the U.S. and beyond. We strive for our users to enjoy using Yesplan, through intuitive and attractive design. Yesplan is continuously evolving software; we integrate with key apps and have an open API.

Our customers have access to a wide range of high-quality and customizable reporting documents in Yesplan. For example, we make quotations, information sheets, scenarios, calendars, and much more. Documents are tailor-made for the customer and we use and develop a toolkit ourselves to create documents in Yesplan with extensive personalization per customer.

As a Reporting Engineer you are responsible for the development and follow-up of these reporting documents. At the request of, and in consultation with, the Customer Success Manager of the customer, the Reporting Engineer prepares high-quality documents. You build documents yourself in a toolkit that is integrated with Yesplan and Jasper Reports, you coordinate with the development team about technical challenges and you work with the team on both the more complex documents and the toolkit.

In the short term you will also participate in the further development of the reporting toolkit, together with your colleagues in the development team.

    • Programming knowledge: you master a programming language (e.g. Java, VBA, ...);
    • Knowledge of databases (SQL,...);
    • Knowledge of reporting systems such as Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, etc ... is a plus.

You are:

    • Curious and committed to peak performance;
    • Inquisitive and willing to learn and apply new technologies;
    • Willing to work end-to-end on reports: from analysis to design and implementation and support;
    • A lazy computer scientist who prefers to replace manual tasks with software;
    • Convinced that the end result is better through teamwork.

What's in it for you:

    • Challenging work developing reporting in our SaaS software;
    • Career opportunities and development opportunities within your position;
    • A mature development team with procedures, strict in writing automated tests and focused on valuable teamwork;
    • A casual, open and non-corporate working environment in one of the coolest offices in Ghent, easily accessible by public transport;
    • A full-time permanent contract, 38 hours a week, flexible working hours and working from home is possible;
    • A competitive salary package with a package of extra benefits.
