How did it all start and what's next?
and I have been wanting to host an event based on our popular ‘Yesplan on Tour’ events we run throughout Europe. As both ‘veterans’ of software sales and service to the
cultural sector we know that the actual software and service are only part of the value that great suppliers bring to venues
So Patrick and I thought we should curate a new format of half a day of opinions and solutions to the challenges we hear from venues in the UK and beyond.
Last Monday’s seminar entitled Sustainability, Accessibility & Efficiency in Arts Centres and Theatre was launched with just a title, location and date.
Within a few days we had over 25 venues signed up, without even a speaker confirmed. As we released more information…… 35….45…..55 - it was only then Patrick asked me what the capacity of the room was. Ooops! My bad!
Thankfully the superb events team at the MAC, led by Damien Vincent, found us a larger room (by looking in THEIR Yesplan system LOL) . 65…...75…...85.
Now, normally I would launch here into learnings that were shared by our amazing speakers, but such was the feedback from venues on the day.
We are taking it on tour... Next stop Sheffield on June 24!
So having launched an event with minimal details, oversold it, moved it, and then taken it on tour, you can now rest assured
these Yesplan staff understand the amazing job venues like yours do in producing the fabulous cultural experiences you do!
